Join us for an action packed weekend including a panel discussion with top industry Max the Mutt graduates, school tours, and free art workshops.
Learn how our small class sizes, innovative and industry-driven curriculum, and top-notch instructors have got industry raving that our students are “amazing, inventive and technically brilliant” (Nelvana Ltd), “the professionals any studio would want” (Keyframe Digital Productions) and “some of our industry’s best talents” (Ubisoft).

Saturday, December 7
9:30 AM: Welcome to Max the Mutt! Get to know us over coffee, tea and doughnuts.
10:00 AM: Panel Discussion: “What Happens After Max the Mutt?” MTM graduates discuss their professional experiences finding jobs and establishing careers in animation, video games and comics. Check out our Speakers below!
11:45 AM: Info session on our diploma programs “Why is Max the Mutt the right choice for you?”
12:30 PM: School tours Our hallways exhibit student artwork from Years 1-4. Our program heads will take you on a tour, using the work on exhibit to explain and illustrate the curriculum of each program.
2:00 PM: Free workshop – “Let’s Make Comics!”
In this comic book workshop, students will be introduced to the exciting world of comic drawing and comic construction. Led by Kent Burles – Limited space, please pre-register

Sunday, December 8
11:00 AM: Free workshop – “Computer Colouring”
Join us for an introduction to digital colouring in Photoshop! Learn what principles to take into account when colouring a comic cover and how to use them to create an eye-catching cover. Led by Paris Alleyne – Limited space, please pre-register
2:00PM: Free workshop – “Dynamic Character Design”
Our Character Design workshop will break down the major elements of design that helps animators and illustrators create distinct, interesting characters – from body types, to facial features, to costuming! Led by Meaghan Carter – Limited space, please pre-register

What Happens After Max the Mutt?
MTM graduates discuss their professional experiences finding jobs and
establishing careers in animation, video games and comics.
Panel members include:
PARIS ALLEYNE is a comic illustrator and colourist from Toronto and a graduate from Max the Mutt. He’s worked with Marvel and IDW, Boom and Lionforge. He’s also created his own series Haven with Toronto publisher, Chapterhouse. Currently he’s the colourist on the Comixology Original title Afterlift with Chip Zdarsky and Jason Loo.
ENOCH GAWAIN is a 3D Rigger at Tangent Animation. He graduated from Max the Mutt in 2015.
ADAM HOMONYLO is a working Concept Artist. He graduated from Max the Mutt in 2018.
