CONCEPT ART GRADUATES
Taylor Burgess Brandon Miller Nichole Ducker
Has some good chops with rendering on final pieces. Has a keen sense of observation skills and enjoys research dives that inform the choices in environment work. Taylor has a good mind for developing characters and thinks about visual clues to establish a quick understanding about the characters. Has a keen way of thinking as a creative designer. Overall solid drawing skill and strong attention to detail in the drawings and designs. A very mature graduate and really down to earth about his work and understanding of the creative process. Stylized character designs, cartoony designs are definitely his strengths as an artist, he has a strong command of shape design that’s appealing for the characters themselves. A very nice personality, easy to work with.  Environment matte painting and her cohesive character/ creature art  are her strengths in world building. Has a good mind for the overall  pipeline of concept art. Thinks about art in good ways, always interested and exploring. Came through handily when the pressure was on to meet deadlines.
Ben Kruck Jai Naidu Yulia Novikova
A loose, bold quality, but structurally solid. Characters are definitely his strong hand. Overall shows a strong eye for design and appeal. Namely his costume designs and sense of visual rhythm and balance for me were particularly well executed on his character design explorations. Easy to work with, takes direction well. Steps up when the pressure is on and meets deadlines. He has great positive energy. There’s a polish to the environments, the colour pallet and attention to detail (but not too much of it) is good. Interested in everything, hyper but with focus.  He’s good at photo-bashing scenes together for production targets. Loads of potential, excellent collaborator. With the main focus being characters, really puts effort into development and defining faces of characters as part of the designs. The faces add context to the costumes, and really transform the overall impression of the environment. Has a keen sense of world building. Illustration skill and intelligence informs her work and designs. Works hard, research driven, meets deadlines.
Amanda Postma Chamil Prematilake Corrine Stretten
She has a good sense of color and lighting with her landscapes, environments are her focus. Good composition. Appealing  character design work, strong design elements to her creatures. Creature designs are definitely his strong point. Not afraid to take creative risks with his work in order to strike out something fresh and unique. Interesting way of pulling in cultural elements into his creature designs to counter the horrific nature of them, manages to embed some dignity because it gives a sense of intellect behind the creatures in the design, which is hard to do. Has final rendering chops. Very intelligent perspectives. Intelligent, has a keen mind for art. Exquisitely executed and superb creature designs.  Solid in her environment work, lovely colour pallet and strong composition. Explores her ideas into 3D. Her hand skills with the drawing are excellent, I see her being a well rounded generalist concept artist, no small feat.
