A Message from our Directors

Re: Fall Semester 2021

After careful consideration, my Co-Director Tina Seemann and I, and MTM Director of Operations Rebecca Melville, have made the decision that Max the Mutt College of Animation, Art & Design will remain online for the fall 2021 semester. We have made this decision because the health and welfare of everyone in our community  continues to be of paramount importance to us.

Our staff worked hard during spring and summer 2020 to make the transition to online classes in a way that maintained the quality and integrity of MTM’s educational experience. We  worked with our students, instructors and staff, and are happy to report that the online experience was a positive experience for most students. The decision to stay online, at least for first semester, is based on the needs of current students who come from across Canada and abroad, and our inability, as a small college with small class size and small classrooms, to assure proper distancing.
We are hoping to be back to in-person classes by January 2022, but may also continue online for those students who cannot safely travel to Toronto.

We have already successfully transitioned our workshops and camps to the online environment, and feedback from students is excellent!

We wish you all a happy and safe summer.
All the best,
Maxine Schacker & Tina Seemann
