Introduction to Life Drawing – Saturdays

Arts Workshop

Workshop Details

Life Drawing is an important building block for all arts-based careers. It’s also an essential skill for any artist to develop, not to mention a great source of relaxation and stress-relief. This Life Drawing course follows the teaching methods of the celebrated Kimon Nicolaides, designed to allow anyone to improve their technique and recommended by prominent studios like Disney and Warner Brothers. You’ll be amazed by your progress as you follow a series of exercises designed to get the artist to use touch, empathy and the kinesthetic sense to capture the human form. Materials used include pencil, ink, charcoal, and conte crayon.

Nude models will be used for this class.

This class is open to beginners as well as those with some experience.

Ages: 15+

Please note materials are not included in this cost. Students will be given a material list prior to the start of the class.

Updates re: COVID-19

Last updated Monday, March 23, 7:00PM

Our top priority is to ensure students can finish the year and that they are still getting a proper and excellent learning experience, while also making sure everyone is safe and healthy.

At this time, we will be moving all diploma courses to an online format for the remainder of the school year. We are working carefully with instructors as we develop a course-by-course plan to ensure students do not miss out on any learning, while also ensuring we do not place any undue burden on our instructors.

While we are operating online, our physical location and office are temporarily closed.  Please email us at  info@maxthemutt.com for any inquiries.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will post updates here as we get them as well as sending emails to all students and instructors.

We will be moving our Portfolio Reviews and Tours to online-only.

All planned events, talks, workshops, classes, etc. will not be taking place at the school. We are working hard to have as many things moved online that we can. Keep checking back for updates!
