Do you have an idea for a webcomic that you’re dying to develop? Or have you been working on one but haven’t been able to finish it? In this workshop, we’ll work on the essential fundamentals for making a webcomic that readers will want to follow day after day. Whether your style is comedy, sci-fi, fantasy, drama, you need to have the building blocks of story and theme, strong characters, and art direction to create your comic’s look and style. Learn how to make a webcomic and explore all the depths behind how to put it all together.
We’re going to have a lot of fun in this workshop. I’ll be working directly with each of you every step of the way in real-time. You’ll be able to upload your work and I’ll make drawing and design suggestions directly from my Cintiq drawing tablet. We’ll use screen sharing so we can view each other’s work after each exercise. We’ll even have a session with a live model so we can practice drawing our character’s poses! So start thinking of that story you want to tell and those characters you want to create. I can’t wait to see you in class!
