Whether you’re looking to develop your current familiarity with 3D modeling and sculpting, or are just starting out, this Introduction to ZBrush workshop will help you develop the skills you need to create a character bust (chest & head)!
The first session will include an introduction ZBrush’s User Interface and familiarize you with the main tools and hotkeys you’ll be utilizing for the duration of the workshop before diving into how to adapt references and concepts and build your sculpture using basic shapes. Gradually, you will develop this form into the sculpture your will be referencing throughout with the help of the instructor should you find yourself running into difficulties with how the form is developing.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about Polypaint and 3D sculpts as well as the potential for posing a character. This workshop will conclude with the rendering process and final compositing.

- Discord (students will be required to make an account for this program in order to participate in this workshop)
- Zbrush (Zbrush should be installed prior to the first session. A trial version is available though a subscription may need to be purchased to utilize Zbrush for the duration of the workshop)
- Digital Drawing Tablet (Wacom, Huion, XP-Pen, etc) – This item is essential for sculpting in ZBrush
- Recommended but not required: Photoshop or a similar program (for final compositing & masking)
About the Instructor
NENAD PERIC came to Canada from Serbia, where he worked for as 3D modeller for Glossyrey. He has worked in Toronto as a 3D Artist/ Modeler for Soho VFX where projects he’s worked on include Deadpool 2, and X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and recently joined Toronto animation company Jam Filled as a 3D artist.
